In The Studio! - (Jan-Feb, 2010)

We've had some great things happening in the studio in the past couple of weeks. Randy Gilkey has really been tearing it up with all his talents in our music. He's been laying down some great piano, organ, and electric guitar tracks. Mike, as well, has finished most the acoustic guitar tracks and will be doing the rest tomorrow.

The album is really sounding great. We couldn't ask for anything better from Gilkey. It has totally surpassed all of our expectations and we can't wait to release this thing! The release doesn't have an official date set yet, but we're expecting it to be completely done by this spring, if not sooner. We're dangerously close to being done at this point. Not much left to track, then we get the final mix and master, and then send it off to be duplicated. Then it's time to sell, sell, sell!



In The Studio! - (November 11th, 09)

Once again we had an amazing couple of days in the studio! Gilkey has really done some great things with this music. I can't express how excited we are to get this CD out!

It looks like we'll have 11 tracks on the CD in total. Some of the older songs of ours didn't make the cut and we apologize to the people that really wanted those on there.

To sum up, the past two days in the studio have been very productive and electric! We got a lot done with most the tracks, and the newest song addition to MR.E, "Love You", is really coming along better than I could've imagined! This CD has a lot of energy so far and we're only halfway done! Mike and Randy has put in some hours for the past couple days and plan to put in more in the next few days! We're really tryin to push to get this done because we were all unable to get into the studio for a while. Hope you keep checking in on the status of this MR.E CD!




Mike-n-Rob In The Studio! - (August 21st, 09)

We are really excited to be in the studio with Randy Gilkey! Week one went really well. It was basically just Mike scratch tracking all the songs and getting the structure down for Rob to start the drum tracks, but it went well. It only took two days to get 11 songs down!

Now Rob will start drumming away on week two, while Mike is on vacation in Virginia Beach! After Mike gets back he will start on his guitar and vocal tracks.

Hopefully everything will continue to go smoothly and quickly. Can't wait to hear the finished product! We will be keeping you updated!

Cd News! - (April 2nd, 09)

Mike-n-Rob will be in the process of making a CD! We have demo's but no full cd. Demo's are still for sale for $3.

As of now (April 09) it looks as if we're going to get Randy Gilkey, from Oak Hill, WV, to do our CD for us! We can't wait to work with Gilkey! We've played a few shows with him before and continue to, so we know what kind of success this CD can bring us!

The CD will feature different sounds and a different feel from our live show. We will be throwing in all kinds of various instruments, since we can all play numerous things! It won't just be guitar, djembe, and vocals! So, gear up for the new Mike-n-Rob Experience CD!




Building the Website - (April 1st, 09)

After numerous attempts at getting a website built for us, we finally are getting it done! Mike himself is building this site. Although he knows nothing about web design, he hopes to bring you and delightful, and yet, working site.
